The owners of this new-build property wanted to maximise energy independence from the outset.
Their goal was to incorporate solar generation and battery storage into the home’s long-term energy strategy and minimise reliance on electricity imported from the grid.
The Challenge
A Solar & Battery System Designed for Energy Independence
We designed and installed a 20kWp solar PV system comprising 50 x 450W solar modules, alongside 20kWh of battery storage.
The combination of substantial generation capacity and large-scale battery storage was carefully designed to support the property's ongoing energy requirements and maximise self-consumption of generated electricity.
The Outcome
Achieving Approximately 90% Grid Independence
The completed installation allows the homeowners to generate and store the majority of the electricity they require throughout the year. By combining solar generation with battery storage, the system delivers approximately 90% grid independence and significantly reduces ongoing reliance on imported electricity.
